Use Malo as a supporting record, not a substitute for judgment.
By using the app or cloud service, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service.
1. Nature of Malo
Malo is a personal app that helps you record and organize daily information and produce summaries from it. Malo is not a financial institution, does not hold money or make payments, and does not provide financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice.
2. Cloud account
The app can be used locally without an account. If you create a cloud account, you must provide accurate, current information, protect sign-in details, and notify us of suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity from your devices and account unless applicable law provides otherwise.
3. User responsibilities
- Enter data accurately and lawfully, and review entries, balances, and reports.
- Do not enter another person's data without a lawful basis or legitimate need, or use Malo to harm them.
- Protect the device, account, exports, and backup codes, and create appropriate copies before replacement, deletion, or changing devices.
- Independently verify any amount, date, exchange rate, or obligation before acting on it.
4. Entries, currencies, and reports
Results depend on your data and settings, including base currency, exchange rates, and the edit window. The app may require correction or settlement entries to preserve record continuity after the window expires or later activity exists. These are internal organizational rules and do not make the record a certified bank or accounting document.
5. Sync and backups
Sync is optional and depends on connectivity, service availability, and linked devices, and may be delayed or interrupted. You are responsible for reviewing your data and keeping an appropriate copy of what you need. Stopping sync or uninstalling the app does not delete the cloud account; delete it from the app or the self-service deletion page if you no longer want it.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use Malo unlawfully, attempt to access another person's account or data, disrupt the service, bypass technical limits, or upload harmful content or content you have no right to use. We may restrict an account for a serious breach, a service risk, or a lawful request.
7. Ownership and content
Rights in the Malo software, logo, interfaces, and website content belong to their owners. We grant you a limited personal right to use the app under these terms. Your content remains yours, and you permit us to process it only as needed to provide the functions you choose and operate the service.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation or compatibility with every device. We may update or discontinue features or change these terms, and will publish the current version and date on the website.
9. Reliance and liability
You use Malo at your own responsibility as a supporting tool. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for decisions based on incorrect input or an unreviewed report, or for data loss caused by the device, credentials, backup file, user-initiated deletion, or a service outside our reasonable control. This clause does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Ending use and account deletion
You may stop using the app at any time. You can delete the cloud account and its data yourself from within the app after confirming your password. Deletion is final, and you are responsible for exporting anything you need first. The copy on your device remains local until you delete it.
11. Contact and current version
For questions about these terms, email malo@nabil.pm. Documents are available in Arabic and English for convenience; any difference is interpreted to preserve the clear purpose of the service under applicable law.
